Busy Bees in May

In October 2008, I was blessed to meet my very good friend, Ashley through my job. We spent 18 months working side by side, day in and day out. We shared so many great memories... laughing, eating, talking, wonderful recipes and even a few tears. Though she has moved on to another wonderful opportunity, I feel blessed that God brought us together as friends and
co-workers and so glad that we will continue to be forever friends!

I spent a fabulous weekend away at the beginning of May for a great Girls' Weekend with my best friend from high school, Emily. We vowed when she visited last year that we would not let more than a year go by between visits and that this year we would celebrate our 35th birthdays together. We had a blast shopping, talking, laughing and eating the entire weekend. I am looking forward to our next girls' getaway!

Our little graduate! We are proud to announce that Wynton has now graduated from preschool and will be moving on to Kindergarten in the fall! YEAH! We are so proud of both of our kids and all they have learned this year in preschool. We are prayerful that I will be able to stay at home with them beginning this fall and homeschool Wynton! I am extremely excited about this opportunity and pray for God's wisdom and guidance as we embark upon this awesome new journey! Please keep praying for us as we wait patiently on God's timing.

And...we are OFF!!! Wynton has finally mastered riding his bike without training wheels! We are so proud of him and thankful to our neighbors for letting us borrow their smaller bike for him to get going! Now we are moving on to his bigger bike and looking forward to going on lots of bike rides this summer!

Wynton had his first half sleepover recently with his very good friend Connor. Of course, Cecelia joined in too. Here they are after dinner, under the "movie tent", watching Star Wars (the boys' favorite!). For those wondering what a "half" sleepover is: basically you stay for dinner, dessert and a movie, put your pajamas on and go home around 9:30 or so. The fun without the sleeping away from home! YEAH!

Our good friends Jason & Julianne brought their 3 month old son, Tyler to visit us recently and we had so much fun feeding him, changing his diaper and loving on him! What a cutie he is!

The kids and our neighbors spent a hot Saturday under the sprinkler! It reminded me so much of how we entertained ourselves when we were little and didn't have a neighborhood pool to cool off in! Cecelia LOVES to sport her purple goggles along with her brother and Evan and Alex!

Wynton, Cecelia and their good friend Grant, trade Silly Bands one warm afternoon! This has become a craze so much like Jelly Bracelets when Stephen and I were the same age. The lessons with this new craze have been very valuable and the kids are learning what it means to "trade" something with someone!

Wynton's class had a field trip to Cici's Pizza recently and got the chance to make their own pizza. Wynton chose to make a Macaroni & Cheese pizza (his very favorite there) and poses here with his hot pizza right out of the oven. We had a great time going behind the scenes and learning about the entire pizza business! He actually requested the night before to wear his chef hat and apron that Mimi had given him last year...i think he looks super cute in it too!
